Look, I get it. You have your mind made up so you don’t want to be confused with the facts. You have yet to bring any reputably-based sources for your ideas, rather concocting an interesting assortment of typical myths surrounding veganism and passing them off as fact. It has been a long-running evolutionary process to reach the current state of the human specie, and it is time we started acting like it instead of cramming our face with anything we want. So, I’ll simplify by starting out with restating the correlation between veganism and atheism: both play into societies childlike confusion (obviously), both require one to step out of what has become “the norm” and take a look at the bigger picture, and both refuse to buy into the fallacies that have been put forth by people such as yourself. Both require a person to actually think for themselves instead of being a puppet for common ideas. Both are ways of life. Most of all, this picture was to attract those who are capable of seeing past the fallacies of religion and consumption, so it is okay that you are not one such person. You are not alone. The leading cause of death in the US is heart disease, the leading cause of heart disease is diet and consumption of red meat. Omnivores have a 50% rate of heart disease, vegetarians have a 14-15% rate, vegans have a 4% rate… So, you do the math. It’s not hard. Really. There are quite a few strictly-vegan body builders who are vegan all the time, not just when they are trying to get into absolute perfect physical condition. People are so sadly misguided in their ideas about veganism. It has almost become a deserving program: you figure out the truth about how disgusting it is to eat animal products when our bodies are so ill-equipt to do so and you make the intelligent decision and switch over, therefore you deserve the perfect health, clearer mind and longer life expectancy that comes along with being vegan. Sure, sure, there are plenty of poo-poo stories about misguided individuals not understanding how to properly live a vegan lifestyle and get sick. But for every one of those unfortunate tales, there are ten vegans who have completely reversed any signs of heart disease, lost fat, become more alert and over all healthier, haplier individuals. Once again, this isnt difficult. Just like religion though, I understand everyone needs to find out the truth in their own way, on their own time. No, the world is not flat, no, it was not necessary for a man-in-the-sky to create a universe, no, santa doesn’t exist, no, you do not require any animal products in your diet to survive and further more, yes, when done correctly and appropriately, the vegan diet is the absolute healthiest way to live. But once again, you’re probably going to have to be one of those people that have to figure out all of those things the hard way. Truthfully, just because humans have “always done something”, doesn’t make it correct. Humans have been killing and raping eachother as far back as our research goes currently… This doesn’t make it appropriate for a self-proclaimed evolved species to do. Same goes for meat consumption. I’d be curious how long a person could live without any plant matter, a carnivorous diet, versus how long a human can survive (haha, thrive) without any animal matter, an herbivorous diet. Hey, lets put that to test! I’ve already got 8 months though, so you better get started. That right there is answer enough. If a human cannot survive without eating non-animal matter, but CAN survive, with great ease, without eating non-plant matter, it can be concluded that animal matter is not a vital requirement in any human diet. None of the ideas you “countered” my points with are new to me. There have been so many non-vegans brainwashed with the exact same bullet points. I must’ve missed that sunday sermon… “All ye meat eaters unite and spread the good word of cancer-causing, oh shite, no, I mean, spread the good word of fattening, no damn, that’s not it… Spread the good word of life-depreciating, disease-enhancing, toxic, heartless, thoughtless lifestyles that come to you at the low price of dying from having your arteries clog and harden with plaque, being constipated a good portion of your life, having unclear skin, getting sick countless times, contributing to horrific life for those more defenseless, contributing to the pollution of the soil, water and air of the world, and all just to be ‘normal’, be “I’m okay, you’re okay, we’re all a-okay”, to not have to think very hard about what you shove down your gullet (obesity is on the rise in high-meat-consumption countries, yet not to ignore the facts), to appease an obsessive appetite for another specie’s titty-milk, another animal’s carcass…” Yeah, I’m going to have to admit, I missed that brainwash sermon. I’m perfectly healthy. All the vegans I know are perfectly healthy. A lot of the omnivores I know are on pills for their cholesterol, always on-and-off dieting, constantly have a little bug here, the flu there… Sure, it’s possible for a human to not be overwhelming ill while on an animal-product diet, I mean, anything is “possible”. Interesting tidbit: 90% of the negroid and mongoid populations are lactose intolerant, 90 fucking percent. While 75% of the caucazoid population is. HELLO! Humans, wake thee fuck up. There is a very simple, pop-up picture, big worded, coloring book answer for this question: you are not designed, prave critter, to put this shit into your little bodies. The end.Look I get I your just like Christian who thinks the world is attacking your small view and you think your enlightened its ok. I understand.
Aww that’s adorable. No, not at all :). I’m not even remotely “like a christian”, but this is a cute comparison. My brother, who is also an atheist tried it on me once. Like it’s some big insult used when there are no more age-old recipes to defend what just, oooo feels all warm and fuzzy. Don’t try to get a meat eater to give up their beloved savio-I mean, steak. They will come at you Westboro style. Basing their beliefs on done dogmatic, age old ideals, that, as quaint as they are, just don’t pan out in the more intelligent and evolved world of today. You’ve clearly exhausted any mildly-realistic topics of discussion on this, with your cutesy attempt to throw christianity at me, so I will bid you farewell. But hey, I know some fantastic brands of pharmaceuticals your body will begin to require in few years to counteract your current diet, that I can recommend, out of hearsay from other meat-eaters of course. So you just hit me up when that time comes ;D
xDD.
Trying to pull that card? I knew you were a bit thick, but not a moron, dude.
Yes, it’s really about time this comes to an end. You’ll probably be getting constipated any day now, and how does everything work down there? Hopefully you’ll be able to perform in a couple of years. I’d hate to see you not get any just because you feel obligated to feast upon dead creatures.
Guess that’s a risk you take.
I guess when people are not evolved enough, they have to resort to the same petty, fallacious arguments to back their bigotry and close-mindedness up. Oh, well.
